Privacy policy

Short version: you can play without an account. If you make one, we store your email and your game progress so you can play on several devices. We do not sell data, show ads, or use tracking cookies. Card details never reach us.

Who is responsible

Snekcade is run by Zoran Ruvidić, Belgrade, Serbia ("we"). Contact: hiss@snekcade.com.

What we collect

The Python code you write runs on your own device. It is not sent to us.

Payments

Snek Pass is sold by our reseller and merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy. They process your payment details and invoices under their own privacy policy. We only receive your subscription status, an order reference and the email you used.

Service providers

Vercel — hosts the website.
Supabase — sign-in and database (EU, Frankfurt).
Lemon Squeezy — payments and subscriptions.
Google Play — payments and subscriptions in the Android app. We receive the subscription status, never your card.
jsDelivr — delivers the in-browser Python engine and sign-in library.

The pixel fonts are served from our own site, so loading the game does not contact Google.

Cookies and storage

We use your browser's local storage for your game save and, if you sign in, your session. No advertising or analytics cookies.

How long we keep data

Account data is kept until you delete your account. Deleting it (Profile → account → Delete my account) removes your email, progress and subscription record from our database. Payment records stay with Lemon Squeezy as required by tax law.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to processing, by contacting us. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Serbia: the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection).

Children

Snekcade is a learning game suitable for all ages. If you are under 16, or under the age required in your country, please ask a parent or guardian before creating an account or buying anything.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update the date above and tell signed-in players about important changes in the app.
